Among the candidates were New York Assembly candidates Janet Tweed and Vicki Davis, 51st Senate District candidate Michele Frazier, U.S. Congressional candidate Josh Riley, and New York Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado. Their collective presence underscored the heightened stakes of the upcoming elections.
Paula Schermerhorn, the Delaware County Deputy Democratic Board of Elections Commissioner, said there has been an uptick in early vote-by-mail applications, signaling an engaged and proactive electorate.
